Tax sales

The Palm Beach County Tax Collector holds the annual tax certificate sale online on or after June 1 for the prior year's unpaid taxes, with investors bidding down the interest rate, and certificates not sold are struck to the county and can be bought later at 18% a year. If taxes stay unpaid two years, a certificate holder can apply for a tax deed, and the Clerk sells the property at online tax deed auctions held about once a month on designated Wednesdays at 9:30 AM, with a deposit of 5% of your maximum bid or $200, whichever is more, and full payment due by 2:00 PM the next business day; properties are listed in the Palm Beach County Legal Notices portal.

Foreclosure sales

Mortgage foreclosure sales in Palm Beach County are the Clerk's online auctions on the Real Auction site, generally held Monday through Thursday at 10:00 AM. Cases appear on the online auction calendar, and winning bidders must pay the balance by 2:00 PM the next business day.
