Potter County Tax Assessor-Collector. Property tax accounts can be searched and paid free on the Tax Office site, which also explains that the delinquent tax attorney sells property after a court judgment.
Foreclosure sales

City of Amarillo GIS (with Potter-Randall Appraisal District data). The City of Amarillo's free tax parcel map uses appraisal district data to show ownership and property lines, and the city also publishes planning and zoning maps.
How property is sold here
Potter County follows Texas's rules, with its own calendar and offices. Read the Texas guide for how the state works.
Tax sales
Texas does not sell tax liens; in Potter County the delinquent tax attorney files a tax foreclosure suit with the District Clerk, and after a judgment the property itself is sold at a sheriff sale. By Commissioners Court order, sheriff sales and other public real estate sales in Potter County are held in the 11th floor auditorium of the Santa Fe Building at 9th and Polk in downtown Amarillo instead of the courthouse steps. Sale dates are not posted on the county site, so call the Potter County Tax Office for the next sale list.
Foreclosure sales
Mortgage foreclosures in Potter County are trustee sales held on the first Tuesday of the month in the 11th floor auditorium of the Santa Fe Building, 9th and Polk in Amarillo. The County Clerk posts each month's Notices of Trustee's Sale as a PDF on its web page.
Assessed values
The Potter-Randall Appraisal District sets values for Potter County property each year as of January 1; tax statements go out in October and become delinquent on February 1.
Transfer tax
Texas has no real estate transfer tax, so there is no state, county or city tax on deeds in Amarillo; buyers pay only County Clerk recording fees.
Worth knowing
Potter County covers the northern part of Amarillo, including downtown and the county courthouse, while the faster-growing southern part of the city is in Randall County; check which county a parcel is in before searching records.
Worth knowing
Potter and Randall counties share one appraisal district, but deeds, tax bills and sales are handled separately by each county.
Worth knowing
The Clerk's monthly trustee sale PDF does not reflect withdrawn notices, so confirm a sale with the trustee before going.
